IAPS at the Zoology Museum to tell the story of the Fantastic Animals... of the Cosmos

In their study of the Universe, from the Earth to the edge of the Universe, scientists encounter mysterious and elusive objects on a daily basis. In the exhibition ‘Beyond Space, Beyond Time. The dream of Ulisse Aldrovandi", the two researchers Alessandro Frigeri (INAF - IAPS) and Sandro Bardelli (INAF - OAS) will guide the public in the discovery of these mysterious phenomena, which have in common the challenge of having to be studied by observing their effects and without being able to be recreated in the laboratory, since they are literally “beyond space and beyond time”.

During the meeting, the ‘fantastic animals’ of the Universe and the different methods of finding them will be compared, on a journey from the Moon to Mars to black holes and the enigmatic dark matter.

  • Date and Time: 6 June from 5 p.m.
  • Place: Museo Civico di Zoologia via Ulisse Aldrovandi, 18 - Rome

The event is free of charge and must be booked in advance at 060608.

At the end of the meeting, participants will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition and thus enjoy an even richer and more engaging experience.
