For international colleagues and students

Welcome to this section, designed for international staff at IAPS and for those involved in welcoming and supporting students, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral researchers coming from abroad.

Moving to Italy for a research period is an exciting experience, but it can also involve a fair amount of administrative complexity. For international colleagues in particular, procedures may appear fragmented, not always intuitive, and sometimes difficult to find online.

This page was created to serve as a practical and accessible reference point. Here you will find the vademecum for international staff, based on the direct experience of colleagues who have already gone through these steps, along with documents, practical guidance, and useful materials that are not available through official public channels.

The goal is to support both incoming researchers and those assisting them, offering a step-by-step orientation through the main bureaucratic procedures and helping make the onboarding process as clear and smooth as possible.
