Juno’s Earth flyby

On the 9th of October 2013, the NASA mission Juno made its Earth’s gravity assist coming to 559 km from us, before leaving to Jupiter, that it will reach on 2016.  The scientific team of the mission, in Denver, received and analyzed the first data collected at the Moon and Earth flybys. JunoCam’s images and the data aquired by other instruments showed that everythig is going ok. Juno was also imaged by observers from all over the world.

Deep Space Maneuver for Juno

NASA’s Juno spacecraft executes a second Deep Space Maneuver when  the spacecraft was more than 480 million kilometers  away from Earth and headed to Jupiter.
