Rosetta is awake

On the 20th of January 2014 Rosetta spacecraft woke up after 31 months of sleep. Here is what media INAF (in italian) and ESA (in english) wrote about this event.

On January 20th 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Rosetta Mission will be switched on after 31 months of hibernation. In order to celebrate this event, ESA promoted the “Wake up, Rosetta” video contest.

If you want to participate, edit, enter and vote your favourite video on the contest webpage and help waking up Rosetta!

Mars’ polar cap in 3d

A new 3d model of Mars’ polar cap was obtained thanks to the data collected by radar MARSIS onboard ESA Mars Express. With a comment by Alessandro Frigeri, INAF-IAPS.
