IAPS in brief

IAPS (Institute for Space Astrophysics and Planetology) is one of the 16 facilities of the National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF), based in the Tor Vergata area of Rome.

The institute represents one of INAF's main locations for Astrophysics and Planetology research from space, with an intense collaboration with the Italian Space Agency (ASI) and the most important international Space Agencies (ESA, NASA and JAXA). With over 200 staff, it carries out activities in the fields of design, development and data analysis of on-board instrumentation for space missions, theoretical research and development of advanced instrumentation and technologies for observations from Earth.
